Just a update as you may have noticed my gallery is now unavailable. After careful consideration, and DeviantART's utterly tone-deaf reception to the communities very real concerns about the AI tool they are now selling on their platform. I have decided I can no longer in good conscious use this site. It is a damned shame as across two accounts I have been here and supported this site for 18 years. Even though they have backpeddled to have their "protections" make it so that new art posted here is "opt in only" for AI going forwards. DA's new money maker "DreamUp" is using already unethically scraped data from across the web (laion). As they are using the existing datasets used by Stable Diffusion and other existing unethical AI systems. So while they are giving you options to "opt out" on deviantART itself. They are most probably already using yours, and your mutuals copyrighted works already in the AI data set, because of what Stable diffusion was literally created on (Our work!)

DA posted a "community discussion" a short while back in bad faith. There was a overwhelming community response against the idea of even having AI flood this website. And all the while, they were gearing up for this money grab.

...Because at the end of the day, that is what this is all about. They see the opportunity to make money off AI, and they are trying to justify it by "protecting" us...somehow...by literally subjecting us to it more on a artists website. So goodbye for now DA! If you decide to create a ethically sourced AI, that does not use Stable Diffusions extremely immoral dataset scraped from the web (and here). Then I may return. But for now, its been a good 18 years, but I can not support this site anymore. I have been with DeviantART for 18 years (this acc and my old one included). But because of this new AI decision, I will most probably finally leave. I am waiting a few more days to see how this pans out. If it turns out their training data is the same as all the rest, that is. Unethically sourced from non opt-in works, and royalty free only. Then I unfortunately will have to leave. I can not support a site any longer that is so astronomically out of touch with it's community. Hey all!

Been a while since I created a journal (I tend to be a lot more active on twitter!)

I have finally finished up all my studio contracts for this year, and I am taking a break from such work till at least next year. Because of this, you will see a lot more art posts from me in the future, as I can finally work freelance fulltime again! (I missed it, phew!)

To support this choice, I will be opening up periodically for one commission now and then to keep on top of my bills while working from home. That way I can stay fed, and stay on top of existing works easily.

If you would like to commission me, I am currently open for either my Standard illustration style, or any of my small works options. High detailed illustrations are closed for now, and will be a rare offering as I will only ever allow one to be on my work list from now on I will announce when those are open again!
